He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood at Saint Boniface Episcopal Church in Guilderland, New York on the thirteenth day of June, two-thousand and nine. Father Scherck has earned a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1987) in Madison, New Jersey, a Master of Arts (Clinical Psychology) from Fairfield University (1994) in Fairfield, Connecticut, a Master of Arts (Theological Studies) from Whitefield Theological Seminary in Lakeland, Florida (2005) and a Master of Sacred Theology (2008) and a Licentiate in Anglican Theology (2007) from Saint Andrew's Theological College and Seminary in Lexington, North Carolina. He is currently enrolled in Doctoral work at Whitefield Theological Seminary in the area of Historical Theology.

Prior to serving the Lord and receiving intensive training as a Cathedral Deacon under the Very Reverend Marshall J. Vang at The Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, New York, Father Scherck served as a Deacon and Elder and was admitted as a Student of Theology in Washington D.C. in January of 2004 within the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He also ministered as a Deacon in the Orthodox Anglican Church after being ordained by the Right Reverend Scott E. McLaughlin on the 20th of May in 2006 in Lexington, North Carolina. Prior to ordained ministry, Father Scherck served in various lay capacities within the Connecticut Diocese of the Episcopal Church. He has been involved with various ministries, such as nursing home, hospital, youth programs, street outreach, liturgics, teaching and preaching since 1990. Father Scherck has served as an instructor in Church History at the Deacon School within the Albany Diocese of the Episcopal Church. Before moving into full time ministry, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry in technical sales, product training, and regional management for 20 years being employed by Merck & Company and AstraZeneca. Father Scherck has been married to his wife Robin since 1987. Robin and Father Scherck have three children; Henry, George, and Jane. Father Scherck has a real passion for pastoral oversight in the church, which includes a strong focus on the edification of the saints. He also has a desire to reach out and bring the illumination of Christ to a darkened world through prayerful action. A balance of Word and Sacrament that emerges from Scripture and the historical reforming of Christ's One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church serves as the working model that Father Scherck seeks to follow.
