Dear Members of St. Boniface Parish,

The beginning of our Lenten journey saw the initiation of the Columbarium ministry at our church. The time-honored tradition of having one’s cremated remains interred in a niche in a sacred place within the church has attracted enough of our family to gain the approval of the Vestry.

It is our intention to construct a modest chapel in the rear of the church with about 48 niches above an altar and to provide a prayerful place to remember and pray for deceased members of our family.

To finalize this project, I am asking parish members who have not come forth yet to consider purchasing a niche (niches) for yourself, family members and persons not yet affiliated with our parish whom you would be willing to sponsor.

The cost per niche (one person to a niche!) is $500.00 and will cover the cost of the urn, brass cover plate, perpetual care and construction of the chapel. Yeah, I think it’s a great deal, too!

Each purchaser would receive a deed of ownership, similar to a cemetery plot. When our church expands, the niches can be easily moved to accommodate any new space.

Please fill in the form below and return it to me either in person, or in the collection plate or mail. Checks should be made to: St. Boniface Episcopal Church, with a memo stating ‘columbarium.

We are looking forward to dedicating the new chapel in September when our parish celebrates its 50th anniversary.

In the name of my fellow columbarium ministers---Father Steven, Susan DiCamillo, Tracy Smith and Gene Brosseau, I thank you and rejoice in this very tangible act of faith in Jesus’ resurrection.
